Welded I-beams for cranes are based on a standardized I-section formed by the upper and lower flanges and the wall, connected by welds with full penetration. The rational arrangement of the web stiffeners significantly increases the resistance to buckling and overall rigidity, making them an ideal solution for intensive use of overhead cranes. It is possible to manufacture to order with cross-sectional dimensions and lengths adapted to the workshop span and crane tonnage. The processing precision strictly complies with the national standard GB 50205, ensuring high precision on-site joining and smooth laying of rails.
High-strength steel grade Q355B is used for manufacturing, with the possibility of replacing it with low-temperature, high-viscosity grades Q355D, Q390B and others. Automated submerged arc welding, shielded gas welding and other technologies are used. Welded seams undergo 100% non-destructive testing using ultrasonic testing and MPD, which eliminates welding defects. According to operational characteristics: they can withstand cranes with a lifting capacity from 5 to 100 tons or more, have excellent fatigue strength, high torsional and bending rigidity, and are suitable for various conditions of heavy industry. In terms of costs: the cost is 15–25% lower compared to box-section beams, installation time is reduced by more than 60% compared to reinforced concrete structures.
