Characteristics and Advantages of Welded Steel Roof Beams
Welded steel roof deck beams are specially designed for long-span buildings and are formed by connecting the top and bottom flanges to the wall using full penetration welds. The wall has several rows of transverse stiffening ribs. It is possible to flexibly change the cross-sectional dimensions and length of the beam in accordance with the workshop span, wind and snow loads, which allows optimizing the distribution of forces and achieving high load-bearing capacity with light weight, ideal for unsupported spaces with a span of 30 to 60 meters or more.
High-strength steel grade Q355B is used, with the possibility of replacing it with grades with increased viscosity, for example Q390B, for operation in conditions of low temperatures and high wind loads. Automated submerged arc welding, shielded gas welding and other technologies are used. Welded seams undergo 100% non-destructive testing using ultrasonic and magnetic particle flaw detection, which, in combination with an anti-corrosion coating with a service life of more than 15 years, ensures the safety and durability of the structure. The entire production process strictly complies with the government standard GB 50205, accuracy is controlled and monitored at all stages. Supplied as ready-made modular products that do not require additional processing on site.
According to operational characteristics:have excellent bending strength, wind and seismic resistance, resistance to buckling, and small deflections of the roofing covering, which eliminates deformation and leakage of the profiled sheet. In terms of costs: dead weight is lighter than that of reinforced concrete beams, the cost of the foundation is reduced by more than 30 percent, installation time is reduced by more than 60 percent. Operating and maintenance costs are low and the beams are 100 percent recyclable. Adapted for various use scenarios: industrial workshops, logistics parks, sports and exhibition facilities. They are the optimal solution for load-bearing structures of long-span roofing coverings.
